Role: Host / proprietor of Old Tin Top’s Juke Joint and Casino
Status: Active — hosting Midsommer Night’s Song
Seven-foot rabbit-like showman with a broad top hat, hefty mustache, glass eye, brown duster/cloak, brown boots, and a dangerous grin. Runs the Midsommer Night’s Song stage with enormous theatrical energy.
Hosted the 284th Midsommer Night’s Song when the party arrived in session 10. Reads as charming, funny, and immediately dangerous. His establishment is a hidden canopy casino built around a half-sunken shipwreck in the Chultan jungle.
Old Tin Top introduced the round-one and round-two performers and announced that only six contestants advanced to round two based on crowd roar. His family or staff includes smaller rabbit-like runners who drag performers backstage and keep the show moving.
Session 11: Old Tin Top has held this ground for ~600 years of family ownership and 284 years of Night Song; he retired from competing and now hosts. His great-great-grandson Topsy competed this year. In the final round he serves as the Muse: after each finalist’s advocacy speech he casts the deciding roll. He crowned Isilrod the winner of the 284th Night Song, tattooed all three finalists into the Midsummer Night’s Office, and put Isilrod’s name on the Block (the permanent winners’ board in the casino). He summoned Isilrod to his office to collect a reward (uncollected).
