Session 5: Those Bastard Biskarrs

The party arrived in Xibalba, met local operators, won an arena fight, and found converging signs of a Biskarr family operation: Sebulba suspected race cheating, Lazlo Toth’s daughter was missing, Bast Biskarr admitted his family had taken her, and the defeated manticore’s blood had a faint purple tint.
What happened
After the manticore fight, the party went with LeGrand and Bast Biskarr to Biskarr Exotic Racing Stock Compound. Bast led them there at twilight.
The party used a pincer approach. The front-door group entered openly and met Futch, a squat pygmy ogre and Biskarr bully. When a knock drew Futch to the back, disguised versions of Bodius and Isilrod ambushed him. Futch raged and awakened the caged monkey into its true form: a male yeti. As Futch was brought to heel by Bodius and Isilrod, the monkey-yeti attacked the front group. Bonzo chose not to kill it, earning the Tibetan MONKey’s respect.
The Biskarrs were hidden until Bodius detected magic on a massive portrait of Rhalzar, Darrius, and Velmera. The party passed through the portrait like a gelatin veil and entered an elevator chamber. A lever carried them down for an eternity into the gut of the world.
Below, the party found the Biskarrs’ lair: dead dinosaurs, a central bonfire, and two fur-clad orc-men tossing poor Elsa Toth back and forth like a game. The fight was brutal. The party slaughtered the Biskarrs. Bast died in the chaos. Faf discovered a toad and named him Moghammer. Other loot was acquired.
What changed
- The Biskarr compound had a magical portrait-elevator leading to an underground lair.
- Futch served the Biskarrs and could trigger or command the monkey-yeti reveal.
- Elsa Toth was confirmed captive in the underground lair.
- The Biskarrs were killed.
- Bast died despite leading the party there.
- Faf found and named Moghammer.
Conflicts and canon cautions
Later wiki notes, probably from player memory and transcript ingestion, include additional details not present in this DM summary: Velmera emerging from a side room, Elsa being zombified and later cured, Isilrod branding Rhalzar, Darrius’s blank Midsommer invitation, and the bathhouse lead. Those later details are not contradicted here; they are more likely missing from this short DM recap than false.
The DM source uses Biskarr spellings, which match the glossary’s current display canon, while several file slugs still use older biscar spellings for link stability.
