Ancient Aldani Engineer’s Claw
An ancient Aldani engineer’s claw claimed by Bonzo from the Aldani-built steamboat in Session 13. Earlier accounts said five existed. In Session 17, the village blacksmith, Grum Anvilclaw, explicitly identifies six, with two still among the local Aldani.
Ownership Trial and Current Form
At the village, Bonzo completed an hour of sweat-lodge preparation, then the claw trial: one hundred aged monkfish in one hour, with failure meaning loss of the claw. The declared result was 109.
The claw seemed to communicate with him, became his arm, and grew a second set of pincers. The DM set its claw attack to 2d10 damage. Damage type, attack modifier, and any further bonuses were not restated. Dialogue about whether it can still be removed is contradictory; do not treat permanent surgical attachment or free detachability as settled.
The trial is complete, not an outstanding obligation.
