Clear the Party’s Names

Status: 🟢 Active — reputation / mystery

Objective

Clear the party for the killing of Throbbin Mistwillow.

Leads

  • The arrow shaft bore an algiz rune — “of the Symposium.” Throbbin was shot through a window, through the neck.
  • Balm Bitdoom invoked the Symposium before vanishing: “the Symposium is always watching.”
  • Wanted posters across Baldur’s Gate name the party as Throbbin’s murderers (Session 11).
  • Throbbin’s butler, Mr. Stephens, wore an algiz-rune marking necklace matching the murder arrow — a physical thread to pull.
  • The Baldurian Guard arrived within seconds of the murder, as if forewarned.

Progress

  • Session 11: Vesper Ralk, Throbbin’s former lover, confronted the party, then accepted they were framed and became the first witness pointing at the Symposium.
  • Isilrod’s “Fake Ass Bards” baited the room with the word “Symposium”; Eoin Cooper, Vesper, and Gus Galloway all reacted — suspects worth watching.
  • Session 12 ended Vesper’s role as a living witness: an entity possessing her controlled people and creatures throughout Old Tin Top’s. Vesper was killed, but the entity escaped as black fog. Jacques LaFleur indicated that he knows where it went.
