Human woman in her 50s, cropped silver hair, ink-stained fingers, composed and severe, performs a cappella in a plain black dress. A perennial Night Song competitor who has never failed to place, though her session-11 performance was unusually somber, aimed at “someone long lost.”
That someone was Throbbin Mistwillow: Vesper was his lover. She cornered the party over his death, blade drawn, and only stood down when they convinced her (a natural 20) that they had been framed. She confirmed the killing was a Symposium hit (an algiz-rune arrow through a window, through the neck), that Baldur’s Gate is papered with wanted posters naming the party, and that Throbbin’s butler, Mr. Stephens, wore a Symposium necklace. She is now the party’s first real witness to the frame job.
Reacted (flinched) when Isilrod dropped “Symposium” mid-song in Fake Ass Bards, so how much she knows is still an open question.
In Session 12, an entity possessing Vesper demanded the golden idol, threatened Grackles at Shadowfang Keep, and simultaneously controlled Summer, monkeys, rhinos, and others in Old Tin Top’s. Vesper was killed in the fight, but the entity escaped as black fog. Jacques LaFleur indicated that he knows where the entity went, and the party is now following that lead toward Shadowfang Keep.
