Raif Bright-fin

Role: Triton bard; storm/lightning performer Status: Alive; departed toward Port Xibalba / Aremag lead
A massive blue-scaled Triton bard with gills, a heart “strung with actual lightning-struck wire,” and an electric-guitar act that summons literal thunder and compels the crowd. Braggadocious, friendly, jock-ish; a genuinely good hang.
Backstory: a runaway from Tritonia (~400 miles off), where he was a champion of the “ancient water sport” and captain four years running before fleeing his oppressive, water-polo-obsessed parents. He hitchhiked out aboard the Brazen Pegasus, Captain Ortimay Swift’s merchant ship, and remains tied to Swift and the hunt for Aremag’s treasure. He came for the Night Song and plans to head down to the Basin to meet the Aldani, with whom he feels kinship.
The party suspected he might be their Symposium mole and burgled his room, stealing his jug of living lightning and his moss-covered trident to sabotage his final performance. It worked; stripped of his lightning, Raif fell flat in round three.
Bodius became infatuated with him (“twin flame”) and delivered an advocacy speech on his behalf.
Session 12: Raif was searched during the idol-theft panic and fought alongside the party when the black-eyed Vesper form possessed people in the hall. He magically recalled his trident during the fight, but the Jug of Living Lightning remained with the party. Afterward he did not join the Shadowfang route; he headed back toward Port Xibalba, Captain Ortimay, and the Aremag treasure lead.
