Inventory

  • Hyperspectral Peddler’s Cloak (attuned) — Gift from balmbitdoom
  • Silver Ring — Not magical, just loot. Sell it.
  • Manticore Blood — Faintly purple. Matches purple bloodshot eyes of Relzar’s triceratops. Likely Velmira’s juicing op.
  • Club (looted from Futch)
  • Biscar’s Bastardly Brew x2 — consumed by target: even roll = rabid rage, odd roll = obedient stupor. 15 HP guaranteed on hit. d20 determines effect.
  • Book: History of the Grungalung — Bodius now has full knowledge of grungalung (bipedal frog people) society and history
  • Loaded Liar’s Dice
  • Map of Chult
  • Book of Shadows
  • Immovable Rod — gift from sebulba for handling the Biscars
  • Cassidy’s Trademark Any Color of the Rainbow Package — ink/paint in every color; bought from a pygmy-ogre-looking merchant for 95 gp total with rope + marbles
  • Climbing Rope — bought during jungle prep
  • Bag of Marbles — bought during jungle prep
  • Pipe of Smoke Monsters — gift from balmbitdoom. While smoking it, Bodius can use an action to exhale smoke taking the form of a single creature, such as a dragon. The smoke disappears after a few seconds.
  • Golden Statue — cylindrical, pure gold, 8 spider eyes on face. Non-magical. Taken from the Temple of Cayochan via kidney switcheroo. ~10,000 GP value in Baldur’s Gate.
  • Silver Ring (temple) — found with Mosquito’s remains inside the owlbear. “f” on the underside. Unclear whose.
  • Letter to Flea — found in the owlbear’s stomach. Written by Mosquito before death. Flea doesn’t know yet.

Personality

  • Observant and measured. Rarely speaks without first understanding who holds power in the room.
  • Refined manners, Lower City instincts. Knows how to behave in salons and how to disappear in alleys.
  • Creative under pressure. Improvises rather than panics when cornered.

Ideals

  • Control through understanding. Power is most dangerous when wielded blindly; knowledge is how it is mastered.
  • Cultural preservation over possession. Art belongs to the people who live it, not those who merely own it.
  • Vengeance with purpose. Revenge without truth is just noise.

Bonds

  • Family legacy. Their names were erased, but their work will endure.
  • Book of Shadows. Contains more than spells — a record of unfinished works and stolen futures.
  • Patron’s promise. They know who destroyed his family. He intends to hold them to that knowledge.

Flaws

  • Distrust of institutions. Wealth, authority, and tradition failed his family once; assumes they will again.
  • Selective honesty. Reveals only what serves the moment.
  • Fixation on the past. Sometimes chases answers that offer no immediate benefit.

Backstory

Born into a well-regarded High Elf family of art dealers in baldurs-gate. Raised among priceless artifacts, private collections, and carefully curated lies. Meant to inherit the business, but drawn to the Lower City instead — its living cultures, hidden markets, and the subtle skills needed to survive there. Learned the trade of thieves, fences, and forgers alongside the language of fine art.

Possessed a strange talent: creating works infused with a form of dimensional magic he barely understood. Word spread.

One night, a powerful figure attempted to steal both his creations and him. He escaped. His family did not. Their home, legacy, and names were burned in a single night.

In the aftermath, something found him. His patron knows truths about who orchestrated the massacre and why his work matters. They promised power to survive, learn, and eventually take revenge. In return, he continues developing his craft and accepts commissions whose purpose he doesn’t fully understand.

He does not yet know why his creations are coveted. He only knows someone killed his family to possess them.
