Earlier intel said it could fetch roughly 10,000 GP in Baldur’s Gate, but Session 12 revealed the statue is not merely treasure. It can identify people affected by the death curse. When Jacques LaFleur returned it to Bodius after the Old Tin Top’s afterparty fight, its red eyes revealed that the whole party is now afflicted.
