Shago’s Idol & the Basin
Status: 🟢 Active — Aldani village reached; council, translation, and rescue pending
Objective
Per the note recovered off Shago: deliver the golden idol after the Night Song, then head south to the Basin and intercept “Grackles and LaFleur” before they ruin something.
Session 12 changed the shape of the lead. Jacques LaFleur is alive, was disguised as Isolde the Moth, returned the idol, and asked the party to help recover his captured companion at Shadowfang Keep.

- Session 13: LaFleur and Summer continued toward Shadowfang Keep while the player party diverted into Wyrmheart Mine. The rescue and dragon leads are now proceeding on separate routes.
- Session 15 table recap places LaFleur and Summer at an Aldani village waiting for the party before the Shadowfang raid. Their exact location remains a cautious recap claim rather than an observed scene.
- The party recovered _The History of Shadowfang Keep_ in Wyrmheart. It is written in Ancient Aldani and remains untranslated.
- The idol can reveal death-curse affliction; its red eyes showed the whole party is now cursed.
- Session 11: Raif Bright-fin independently plans to go to the Basin to meet the Aldani, hinting the Basin is amphibious/Aldani country.

Session 17: The party reached the Aldani village, reunited with Summer, and learned that Jacques is near its Great Hall. Summer has waited three nights and reports a planned evening elders’ council. No direct Jacques conversation, completed translation, council decision, or raid is recorded. Bonzo’s claw trial is complete, but any resulting political influence has not yet been tested.
