Role: Merchant Prince / primary antagonist in Xibalba Status: 🔴 Active enemy — knows Bodius’s face now
Tall Chultan man with many earrings. Runs the town of Xibalba. Friend of Watto.
Early Port Xibalba intel framed Jabari as one of the major power brokers alongside Grandfather Zitembe, Sebulba, and Oliver Watto. He and Watto were childhood friends and close confidants before the later betrayal/raid clock.
Confirmed Intel (extracted via Biskarr’s Bastardly Brew)
- Funded the Biskarr’s Brew operation — Velmera’s whole juicing lab was bankrolled by Jabari. Lazlo Toth is NOT involved — cleared.
- Ordered Legrand killed within 24 hours — fears Legrand because he commands the people’s love
- Watto is under his thumb — “Watto is putty in my hands”
- Wants to depose Xintarum — one of the other merchant princes of Xibalba
- Wants to seize the colosseum, the races, and Sebulba’s operation
- Has a kill kink — potential blackmail leverage. Bodius tried to get specifics while he was obedient but it’s unclear if enough detail was extracted before he shook off the brew. May need more info to weaponize.
The Bathhouse Confrontation
Bodius and Isilrod entered disguised as Darrius and Rhalzar (Disguise Self). Got Jabari talking — he thought the Biskarr ops were still running. Bodius fed him the Bastardly Brew (odd roll = obedient), extracted intel. Jabari shook off the magic, grabbed Bodius, broke the illusion — “Now I see you.” Misty Stepped away. Two minotaur cronies walked in immediately to finish the party off.
He now knows Bodius’s face.
Abilities
- Can cast Misty Step (or equivalent teleport)
Current threat clock
As of the 2026-04-28 session, Watto has learned of Jabari’s betrayal and plans to raid Jabari’s villa in one month. The villa is one of the highest-security places in Xibalba. The conflict is shaping up as princes vs. gladiators.
Relationships
- Watto — former puppet, now turning against Jabari and planning a raid
- Legrand — marked for death within 24 hours; now helping Watto’s anti-Jabari move
- Xintarum — rival merchant prince, target for deposition
- Biskarr operation — financed it
